racing to the red light

Today we’ve got a little bit of this, and a little bit of that.  First up, a nice team find, led by our San Gabriel Valley bureau chief, and Senior Asian Cinema correspondent – a live-action Gatchaman movie is coming out.

In the trailer for this movie, we noticed something strange in the corner of the screen – a reference to “Bump of Chicken”.

It turns out they are a Japanese rock band – and a pretty good one too!

Next up, we want to salute – in the RttRL fashion – the Miami Heat’s recent win over the San Antonio Spurs, for the 2013 NBA Championship title. Specifically, we wanted to share the following images that were ricocheting around the office this morning:

Although, we have to admit – Bosh is a hell of an athlete, as odd-looking as he may be on the court.  And look – when he smiles, he looks nice!  Bosh, you’re on the wrong coast, dude. Come out West please.
